Healthy Vanilla Milkshake

Our healthy take on the vanilla milkshake counts as one of your 5-a-day, is dairy-free and tastes just like the real thing. All you need are two medjool dates, plant-based milk, vanilla extract, ice and water. You can turn it into a frappe by adding a shot of cold espresso, which is also delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Pitted medjool dates
  • 1 Cup plant-based milk (250ml) We used Rebel Kitchen semi-skimmed
  • 1/3 Cup water Add more water if you want it less sweet
  • 5 Cubes ice

Instructions
 

  • Add the pitted dates to a blender, add the milk and water and blend until for a minute until the dates have broken down.
  • Then add the ice and blend for a few seconds. Taste, and add a little more water and blend if you think it's too sweet.
  • Serve in a tall glass and enjoy.
